The Origins of Blue Elephant

Nooror Somany Steppe is the inspiration and central person behind the success of Blue Elephant. Cooking is her passion and creativity her driving force. For more than 4 decades, Chef Nooror has been striving as an ambassador advocating Thai cuisine and culture worldwide. Her motto? "You cannot make good Thai food without good Thai ingredients"

In 1980 Chef Nooror opened the very first Blue Elephant restaurant in Brussels with her husband and Thai partners. After they returned back to their homeland in Thailand they had an inspiring vision to expand the Blue Elephant Dynasty.

The Blue Elephant Restaurant and Cooking School opened in Bangkok in 2002, followed by a Phuket branch in 2010.In the North of Bangkok, Blue Spice factory, manufacturing arm of the Blue Elephant group was inaugurated in 2006 and is currently exporting it's wide range of expanding products to 45+ countries around the world.

With the aim of bringing these authentic flavours to homes in the UK, we have brought the Blue Elephant brand from Bangkok. Our range includes curry pastes and cooking kits for those who love to cook and want to explore the world of Thai cuisine. Additionally, we offer ready-made curry sauces for those who don't have much time but still want to create a culinary masterpiece. Whether you are a food enthusiast or someone who prefers a convenient option, Blue Elephant has something for everyone.
